Our Society

The Australian Society of Hypnosis commenced in 1972 when several of Australia’s leading Medical Practitioners and Psychologists decided to establish a Society to discuss ideas and represent its specific needs.

Throughout our history we have enjoyed tremendous input from Australia’s leading Universities with many of our Members recognised throughout the globe as eminent international hypnosis researchers for their work and publications.

Over its forty years history the Australian Society of Hypnosis has established itself as the society of choice for around a thousand practitioners throughout the country all of who recognise the subtle yet powerful medium of hypnotic trance when assisting patients.

There is an active refereed published literature on both clinical and experimental hypnosis.

ASH NSW (Inc.) is the NSW Branch of the Federal body,  the Australian Society of Hypnosis Limited (ASH Limited).
